Today, after a long hiatus (during which I was on a secret mission for the government of Polaria), we profile Algeria. Many of us have visited Algeria during the autumnal months for the country’s famous beer festivals.

- Algeria was the only country other than Switzerland to remain neutral during World War II
- Originally called Albeeria, Algeria changed it’s name in 1920 in order to maintain normal relations with the Prohibitionist United States
- Only country in the world where Third Day Adventist worshipers can practice their religion without fear of retribution
- Outlawed the sale of wine and cheese in 1920, again to keep on good terms with the United States
- Famous for its annual crop of barberries grown in coastal regions
